In Pipeliner terminology an Activity means anything you did or will be doing. Examples: phone calls, meetings, or research on a company.

Adding all Activities in Pipeliner allows you to:

  • List all Activities by a sales rep
  • List all upcoming Activities this week
  • List all Activities on a specific Opportunity

Scenario:   Jack, one of the sales reps, has added several Activities to one of his Opportunities and is about to add another.  He wants to remember to call on his prospect next week.  Jack opens his Opportunity in Pipeliner, adds the Activity task, and selects the call task. Jack completes all the fields including the reminder.  Jack likes to be reminded of the day that he wants to actually make the phone call.  Because Jack likes to ensure that he can also see this Activity when he runs a report on his Accounts, Jack adds the link to the Account record.
