Viewing and Exporting Entity Changes in Pipeliner

The "View Changes" button allows users to see changes made to any entity record within Pipeliner.

Updated over a year ago

When navigating through Pipeliner, you can see the history of changes made to any record by you and your colleagues via the “View Changes” button. This is an extremely helpful tool in seeing who has been working on what. The “View Changes” button is available in the following entities:

  • Accounts

  • Contacts

  • Leads

  • Opportunities

  • Activities

If you are an administrator, please make sure to set up User Roles correctly and read our article on Getting Started with Units, Users, and Roles. This is where you will determine who has access to which entities in your organization. When viewing any record, users can click on “View Changes” and look at the history of edits ⤵

As you can see per sales unit access, 30 users are already able to view this individual record. Watchers and Editors are also able to click on the “View Changes” button within any record they can access. You may want to view which colleagues have worked the most on a record or if there was an error made in a record.

Filtering Entity Changes

If there are many changes that have been made to a record, it may be useful to use the filtering functionality to quickly find what you need. When viewing changes in an Entity, you can Filter by period, user, and field to scan through the history of a record ⤵

Exporting Changes

If you have rights, you can also export the history of an individual record. When viewing the changes, there will be an Export button available ⤵

In addition, all changes are exportable using the Audit Log within the Security Tab of the Admin Module. Administrators can export all changes based on the filter settings chosen, including by owner(s), entity(s), and time period. For instance, you may want to export a CSV file to view all account changes, by all users, over the past month ⤵
